ICF is a member of the Downstate Mobility Partnership, which was recently awarded the contract for the New York State Department of Transportation’s (NYSDOT) delivery of transportation demand management (TDM) services in the New York downstate area. The contract is expected to start January 1, 2010.
ICF is seeking a Regional TDM Director for Long Island (NYSDOT Region 10) to provide day-to-day management of regional service delivery activities, including personnel management, technical oversight, schedule and cost management, and liaison with the NYSDOT Region 10 Mobility Manager. The right candidate will work with cross-functional teams across Long Island, the boroughs of New York City, and the Lower Hudson Valley to identify region wide approaches to TDM delivery, TDM best practices, and program efficiencies.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree and 8-10 years of relevant experience in transportation demand management, including transportation planning, program development, employer outreach, and database administration. Experience in overseeing day-to-day operations of program elements such as carpool and vanpool programs, incentive and marketing programs, emergency ride home programs, as well as transit subsidy and benefits programs is required. Responsible for establishing and achieving individual and work program goals, coordinating labor allocation, developing localized strategies, managing data collection & reporting and evaluating personnel. Ability to manage (5 - 6) permanent employees and (2) summer interns that support the Clean Air NY Program. Experience assisting employers in expanding transportation options for their employees and providing training to on-site transportation coordinators. Ability to manage key partnerships with businesses, transit agencies, and local organizations as well as provide support to community outreach events is also desired. Familiarity with ridematching software is a plus. Experience with TDM in a major metropolitan area is a plus.
This position will involve coordination with the Downstate Mobility Partnership team and report directly to the Project Manager and Deputy Project Manager.
